As a Production Manager with us, you play a central role in ensuring the flow of timber works — from the forest to the industry. You work closely with both colleagues and contractors and hold a key position in planning, directing, and following up on production within your area. Here you have the opportunity to combine operational work with a long-term focus on development, quality, and profitability for both members and the business.
What you will work with at SödraIn this role, you are responsible for ensuring that the harvesting operations, both final felling and thinning, are conducted according to Södra's high standards for environment, quality, and safety. You follow up on deliveries, ensure that the timber meets the right quality, and actively work to align production with our forecasts and plans.
An important part of the job is also to coach our contractors. Through regular dialogue, follow-up, and feedback, you support them in developing their working methods, finding smarter solutions, and continuously raising the level of operations. Together, you drive improvements that make a difference — both in the forest and for the whole.
The position also offers the possibility of some remote work, providing you with good conditions to plan and shape your work in a way that works for you and your everyday life.
The position is a full-time parental leave cover, based in Höör.
Who are we looking for?We are looking for someone who can drive their work independently and create and maintain good relationships. We expect you to have a good ability to plan and allocate resources to achieve set goals, as well as good collaboration and communication skills. Additionally, you are motivated by developing individuals, groups, and working methods, and you are attracted to technological advancements.
In your role, you have a lot of freedom to plan your days, so you need to be structured, meticulous, and enjoy working independently at times. We also believe that you dare to challenge the status quo and develop both people and working methods. As forestry becomes increasingly digital, it is important that you are comfortable and curious about new technology.
To succeed in this role, we see that you have a forestry degree or several years of practical forestry work experience. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, good computer skills, and hold a B driver's license.
What it's like to work at SödraAt Södra, you have the opportunity to develop at work while contributing to sustainable forestry that creates value for people and the environment. We place great value on your personal commitment and care about your well-being. For your security, we have collective agreements and good conditions, as well as several benefits that you can enjoy both at work and in your free time.
What do you think, could this be something for you? Then you know what to do. We really look forward to hearing from you!
